Hi Adam,

Cool post! If only more people took QA seriously right? Another graph to consider would be having a testing pass in each phase (design, code, art).

For example, before sending a design to an artist, a QA tester can verify that it works as intended before committing art. This sometimes unravels details that weren't considered in the initial design and can allow time for optimization or potential cuts.

Again, cool site!

Inspiring words, thanks for putting this out there, it's a shame how there are truly talented people whom have the passion, but not the motives due to others pushing them down.

Agreed. This really highlights the importance of a project plan and a PM who knows the project inside out.

Implementing Lean software Development (by Mart and Tom Poppendieck) suggests electing decision makers to take responsibility for handovers. Even if the team is small, the buck stops there. I've been thinking of using this as a contingency if things start getting a bit vague on future projects. Do you think this would help with developer-producer communication?

Also great idea with the SKU matrix. As we go into Android development, this will be extremely useful.

I would add that a test plan report must be submitted by the developer to producer with a full description of any outstanding bugs before any submission to the App Store.

And having a SKU/OS matrix in place for the developer to test with would be a bonus too.
